| Summary and Explanation | The PolyDetector AP Blocker is used to block the endogenous alkaline phosphatase enzymes that naturally occur in cells and tissue sections without affecting antigens or nucleic acids. Adding Levamisole and other similar compounds to the AP substrate-chromogen has been the traditional way of blocking endogenous alkaline phosphatase activity found in cells and tissues. Unfortunately, this approach reduces the sensitivity of most AP substrate-chromogens and does not completely block intestinal endogenous AP activity. The PolyDetector AP Blocker blocks all types of endogenous alkaline phosphatase activity and helps to standardize immunohistochemical, immunocytochemical and in situ hybridization procedures. | |||||||||||||||||||||
